Piaggio Aerospace Designates Intercontinental Jet Service Corp as an Authorized Service Center for the North America Region

Piaggio Aerospace Designates Intercontinental Jet Service Corp as an Authorized Service Center for the North America Region

Piaggio Aerospace and Intercontinental Jet Service Corp (IJSC) are proud to announce the signing of an agreement that designates IJSC as an authorized Piaggio service center. This is the first agreement of its kind for the North America region following Baykar’s acquisition of Piaggio Aerospace last July and underscores Piaggio Aerospace’s commitment to a strong comeback in the U.S. market. One of the first steps in Piaggio Aerospace’s strategy is strengthening support for existing P.180 Avanti owners and operators across North America, helping them maximize the aircraft’s performance and enjoy comfort and convenience in every flight. With its light-jet performance, spacious cabin and exceptional efficiency, the P.180 Avanti EVO delivers a flying experience that’s fast, comfortable and designed to perform. “There is still significant potential in the P.180 and this is only the first step of many to enhance both the aircraft and the after-sales service”, said Giovanni Tomassini, CEO of Piaggio Aerospace. IJSC is a provider of maintenance of General Aviation Aircraft for the Region of South-Central U.S. and has had a strong relationship with Piaggio for over 10 years. With the signing of this agreement, Piaggio Aerospace and IJSC formalize a long-term partnership that signals a clear and strategic return to growth in the U.S. market.

Piaggio Aerospace Unveils ‘Avanti Next’ Brand at Launch Event

Piaggio Aerospace Unveils ‘Avanti Next’ Brand at Launch Event

Villanova d’Albenga, February 28th, 2026 – Piaggio Aerospace yesterday unveiled its new brand identity and introduced the Avanti NX (Next), marking not only the latest evolution of the P.180 Avanti but also a renewed direction for the company.

More than just the next generation of the P.180 Avanti, the Avanti NX is a symbol of transformation in the way the company approaches customer care and service. The launch event emphasised these principles as the foundation of the company’s next chapter.

The event opened with remarks from Haluk Bayraktar, Chairman of Piaggio Aerospace and CEO of Baykar. Alberto Caruso, Chief Design & Brand at Baykar Group and formerly with Lamborghini and Lilium Jet, presented the new logo and brand identity, while CEO Giovanni Tomassini outlined the company’s strategy and vision for the future.

Haluk, Chairman of Piaggio Aerospace and CEO of Baykar, said: "It is our responsibility to honor the past with the courage to change, and to turn that change into renewed success. The future of Piaggio Aerospace will not be written by circumstances; it will be written by us – by each one of you, with our hands, our minds, and our determination. And starting today, we write it together. The next chapter of Piaggio Aerospace begins now."

Giovanni Tomassini added: “Avanti Next is not just about a new version of our P.180 aircraft. Far from it. It is about the next chapter for Piaggio Aerospace. It is about the next way we work together, the next way we innovate, and the next step in how we care for the people who fly, maintain, and support our aircraft every single day. Every element of Avanti Next reflects our belief in the future of Piaggio Aerospace.”

The launch also introduced Piaggio Aerospace’s new corporate website, designed to reflect the spirit of Avanti NX, as well as the introduction of a new employee clothing line.

The event concluded with Turkish tea and Turkish delight served to all employees in recognition of the company’s partnership with Baykar, accompanied by gift boxes containing Piaggio-branded items.

Avanti Next continues a legacy of ambition and innovation. For decades, the P.180 challenged conventions and proved that original thinking could drive lasting success. Avanti NX carries that same spirit forward, designed for today and ready for what comes Next.

Piaggio Aerospace Announces Avanti Next

Piaggio Aerospace Announces Avanti Next

For decades, the P.180 Avanti has stood apart. Its unmistakable design challenged convention and showed that innovation could be both daring and enduring. But legacy alone is never enough. Progress demands movement and the courage to push boundaries further.

Today, Piaggio Aerospace carries its pioneering spirit into the future with Avanti Next, the start of the ‘Next Era’ for the company.

This ‘Next Era’ is guided by a simple belief: a great aircraft goes beyond performance figures. It is a reliability you can count on, systems you trust, and an experience that feels considered from the first flight hour to the last. That’s why customer care is at the heart of this new chapter. It is anchored in a long-term relationship, backed by our commitment to presence, responsiveness, and transparency throughout the entire lifecycle of the aircraft.

Service is no longer something that begins after delivery. The ‘Next Era’ represents a shift toward deeper collaboration with our customers, where feedback becomes action and experience shapes evolution. Maintenance, diagnostics, and support have been rethought to reduce downtime and increase predictability. Our goal is simple: keep aircraft flying, keep operations smooth, and remove unnecessary complexity from ownership.

Next also reflects how we work as a company. It is the result of engineers and specialists who believe in craftsmanship and continuous improvement. Every component bears the mark of people who care deeply about doing things the right way. From airframe to engines, every part benefits from this dedication, and through our partnership with Baykar, ambition is paired with new capabilities and a long-term vision for innovation and excellence.

This vision culminates in the Avanti NX, a forward-looking concept within the Avanti series. The Avanti NX builds on the iconic design of the P.180 while serving as a platform for future concept work – a working forum where concepts in systems, cabin design, efficiency, and reliability can be explored and assessed. By building on what has proven successful and reimagining what can be improved, it provides a framework for the Avanti series’ future evolution, paying tribute to its legacy while opening the door to the possibilities of tomorrow.

While the Avanti NX represents the future of the Avanti line, the ‘Next Era’ also respects its past. Targeted upgrades will enhance performance and efficiency for earlier P.180 models, while an interior renewal program offered through the Piaggio Design Label will bring them in line with the comfort and technology of the Avanti NX. The newly established Piaggio Design Label reflects the company’s focus on design innovation and passenger experience. At the same time, production of the Avanti is to increase in the coming years, gradually reaching a capacity of up to 30 aircraft annually over the next decade to meet growing demand.

Avanti Next continues a legacy defined by innovation. For decades, the P.180 challenged conventions and demonstrated that original thinking can lead to enduring success. The Avanti NX carries that spirit forward, engineered for today and ready for what comes Next.

Avanti Next.
Forward, together.

Nakanihon Air of Japan takes delivery of its first P.180 Avanti EVO

Nakanihon Air of Japan takes delivery of its first P.180 Avanti EVO

Nakanihon Air of Japan has taken delivery of its first P.180 Avanti EVO. The aircraft touched down on the runway of Nagoya Airport on January 16th, 2026 after its delivery flight from Genoa, overflying the skies of Greece, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, India and Vietnam. At the same time, the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) formally recognized the P.180 Type Certificate for the Japanese market. "We are particularly excited that the P.180 Avanti will be operated in Japan”, said Giovanni Tomassini, CEO of Piaggio Aerospace. "The Avanti is already in service with numerous operators flying it in various roles, highlighting the aircraft’s versatility across special missions”, he added. With this delivery, Nakanihon Air becomes the first P.180 Avanti operator in Japan, reflecting the airline’s commitment to fleet modernization and service expansion. Nakanihon Air operates a fleet of 57 helicopters and 7 fixed-wing aircraft for tasks such as charter flights, transportation, emergency medical services and aerial surveys. Speaking on the delivery, Piaggio Aerospace CEO Giovanni Tomassini said: "In just three months, the Avanti EVO has entered two new markets – first with the sale of two aircraft to a customer in Türkiye, and now with the delivery of an aircraft to Japan. Both milestones confirm the ongoing strong international demand for the aircraft as we plan to raise production to 25–30 units per year." As the third generation of the P.180 Avanti platform, the Avanti EVO delivers higher performance, increased efficiency and superior comfort. Designed for both business and special missions, the EVO can carry up to 7 passengers at a maximum cruise speed of 382 Kts, (707 km/h) with a shuttle range of 1,590 nm (2,944 km), and can fly up to a service ceiling of 41,000 feet (12,500 m). The Avanti EVO’s fuel consumption is 40% lower than that of jet planes of the same class, making it ideal for executive transport, air ambulance operations and other specialized roles. Nakanihon Air spearheaded the development of the air ambulance concept in Japan over 30 years ago, and is now one of the largest operators of ambulance aircraft in Japan. The Avanti EVO’s performance and efficiency will support the company in expanding services to remote and far-reaching areas of Japan.
